Mechanical Engineer (f/m/d)

InFactory Solutions GmbH (InFy) is a 100% Airbus subsidiary, part of Testia Group, located in the Munich Area. InFy develops solutions for automated quality inspection of aircraft components during manufacturing.

Our multidisciplinary team groups competence fields from software, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Our challenge is to generalize sensor solutions, especially machine vision systems, for highly variable component geometries, surface qualities, and materials. All of this in a multicultural and collaborative environment!

We use in-house-built sensors, customized cameras, or laser profilometers for defect detection and object measurement. Using a large amount of data (images, height profiles, robot positions) generated from various sources (e. g., cameras, robot) and synchronized through the pipelines, our in-house built software can provide interfaces to meet different requirements.

We also see ourselves as the advocate of raising AI acceptance in a safety-critical industry like aerospace.

To broaden the expansion of our teams in Munich and Toulouse, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer  (f/m/d) in Munich now.

• Design of sensor components and preparation of all necessary documents for manufacturing
• Support in the requirement definition with respect to mechanical integration in coordination with the customer
• Coordination of the manufacturing of the components with suppliers or the internal manufacturing team
• Assembly and implementation of sensor components on internal test stands or at suppliers‘ facilities
• Preparation of documentation for the qualification of an industrial product (User manual, assembly instructions, etc.)
• Support in product qualification and testing in cooperation with the quality management
• Design and manufacturing of test coupons for internal or external feasibility tests

• Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• Catia V5 mechanical design and shape design
• Supplier management for component manufacturing
• Catia V5 composite design is a plus
• Experience in design-to-manufacture for additive manufacturing is a plus
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing of composite parts is a plus
• Independent execution of prepreg setups
• Independent execution of vacuum infusion setups
• Experience with industrial manufacturing processes for composites is a plus (AFP, ATL, RTM)
